The invention that's best for pets

With more than 4,400 patents issued, and thousands more unsuccessful applications, mouse traps are the most frequently invented device in America.

The first spring-loaded mouse trap was patented in 1894 by William C. Hooker from Illinois. But three years later, a British inventor called James Henry Atkinson came up with an even snappier design. His trap, “The Little Nipper”, was similar to Hooker’s but closed in just 0.0038 seconds. Despite the legions of new designs in the last hundred and twenty-three years, the speed of the Little Nipper has never been beaten.

Abel + Imray have represented world-famous experts in pest control, Rentokil, since 1986. Protecting their trade marks globally on a diverse product portfolio including mechanical devices, electronics and chemical substances.
